Can I book the ferry with you?

Yes – as Sealink agents we can book your return ferry trip to Kangaroo Island walk on or bring your own car & 10% discounts seasonally, call for a discount. If you need a hire car, we can do that too. Pick up and drop off either side. Email or ring to so we can chat about it. Sealink and Kangaroo Island Connect.

What do I need to bring?

All accommodation options are fully self-contained – including linen, quilts, pillows, extra blankets and towels. All you need to bring is food and beverages. Coffee, tea, sugar and basic condiments including salt/pepper and some spices are provided.

Are there any shops or eating areas in Parndana?

Yes we have our own Community Hotel Parndana Hotel with restaurant & bottle shop, Deli/Café/Supermarket/Post Office/ and Takeaway all close by. Petrol & bottle gas if you need.

How far are you from the beach, jetty and boat ramp?

We are located in the township of Parndana. The closest beach is Stokes Bay on the North Coast and Vivonne Bay on the South Coast, both approximately a 30 minute drive.

Why do people lift their finger when they drive past you?

It is the way the locals on Kangaroo Island greet each other. Try it and see how many people greet you back.

Is Flinders Chase National Park open yet?

We are excited to announce that Flinders Chase National Park will be re-opened to the public on the 4th of July 2020. You will be amazed at the regeneration since the fires.

Where can I get fuel on the Island?

Kingscote - 24 hours fuel at the Caltex or OTR both on Telegraph Road.
Penneshaw - Fuel & Hardware offers self service 24 hours
Parndana and Vivonne Bay are your last stops for fuel if you are heading out west. Parndana in the heartland Monday - Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am - 4pm and Vivonne Bay on the South Coast 10.30am - 5.30pm.


Is there any play equipment for the kids on-site? How far away is the Parndana Community Garden?

No playground on site however there is a lovely children’s playground located within walking distance from us. Commonly referred to as the Western KI Lions Park, with
BBQ with shelter, seating & Public facilities. Located at the corner of Wheaton Street & Jubliee Avenue. Kids will love it. Parndana Community Garden is a short walk away on Anzac Street, just near the School.

Can I bring the family pet?

Sorry, we do not allow pets on the property to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all of our guests. Boarding kennels are available on the Island. Pets are not permitted in the National Parks.

What is your cancellation & deposit policy?

We do hope you understand the very challenging times we have been facing with the need to find a balance between managing refunds and cancellations against ensuring our business can remain operational into the future.

Any cancellation of reservations made by the guest/client must be provided in writing to Ficifolia Lodge, and is subject to the below cancellation fees.

A deposit of 10% is required to secure your booking.

If a cancellation is received between the time you make the booking and 31 days before your arriving date, Ficifolia Lodge will retain the 10% deposit you have already paid, or if you have made your booking through on-line booking agents where we require a deposit equivalent the first night tariff, the one night tariff will be non-refundable.

If a cancellation is received 30 - 16 days before the arrival date, 50% of the total booking amount is payable.

If a cancellation is received between 15 - 0 days before the arrival date, 100% of the total booking amount is payable.

Why not visit the Parndana Community Garden during your visit, where you can sample the local produce being grown. A project lead by Sophie Thomson from “Sophies Patch” and the local Community. This project is designed to support the recovery of the local Community following the devasting bushfires that hit Kangaroo Island last Summer.
